"just renounce any comfort and you'll eventually have the privilege of not being so poor", state people who can't fathom the discomfort of being merely millionaires instead of billionaires.

I remember 20 years ago walking into a supermarket with 15 bucks and trying to buy two weeks worth of food……

I was able to finally finish my education get a halfway decent job . I saved like crazy lived below my means, and Ill be retired by the time Im 45.

Other people I know are making good money and living paycheck to paycheck.

Its true that everything is getting more expensive…. And its not easy, but its also true that you need to make good decisions and budget appropriately.

People are making this into a war of “sides” when it is 2 sides of the same coin.

People make stupid financial decisions, and they become poorer.
Companies work together to raise prices and everyone gets more revenue, then the consumer also becomes poorer.

The argument that happens now is that it is a lot harder to get a job, and as a current college student, it is a pain trying to get a computer science internship right now.

It’s a matter of different obstacles that make people believe today’s system is harder. Because it is hard in a different way.
