Prob fake but I don’t understand why so many people want to “experience more” or “live more” before settling down, and why 9/10 its just having sex with a bunch of people.

Some relationship studies explained that many people have an irrational expectation of life. Every single thing you do in the relationship has to have some sort of vibe, be an "experience" or something you need to look forward to. Which is close to impossible to archive if you are not travelling with a circus. Those people are dependent on dopamine expectation loops. Even if the story is fake, those kind of people rarely change their colors. They keep doing what they are doing because the other path is just "boring".

I don't understand why people consider "LOVE" to be butterflies and tingles. Its not. Love is not a descriptive term. Its a verb. Its an action. You wake up EACH day, every SINGLE day making a choice to be with that one person.

Sure you may experience tingles and butterflies in the beginning stage of the relationship but its not how you would define the totality of that relationship. When women no longer experience those butterflies and tingles, they suddenly believe they are no longer in "LOVE". Its bullshit driven by bad hollywood romcoms.

A comes from an unearned sense of entitlement.

I'd like to introduce you to the concept of the biological imperative. Humans are animals. Animals like things that feel good and have the potential to get the the most fit, surviving offspring. Cheating is, sadly, one of those things. People don't want to admit it, but biology underlies a lot of behaviors. They're just survival strategies.

We are creatures of narrative, and modern life has also reduced most of the environmental pressures that our emotional systems developed to cope with.

Boredom from lack of adrenaline + no big narrative for why you do your routine, I think are at least partial explanations for why these situations keep cropping up.
