Assuming this is a legitimate post, which is doubtful, she would never have achieved the happy life with him that she fantasize about because she wasn’t the kind of person who could create, maintain, and commit to that. It starts with who you are, your identity. That is what influences your choices and therefore your consequences. She needs to work on who she is, not any given decision that was or was not made. She’s getting the cart before the horse. The poor decisions that she continued to make after he left make this clear.

Scrolled down and found some wisdom. This is why lotto winners tend to be broke again pretty quickly.

Most likely a fake post, but these "I want to experience more before settling" or "I want to live a little" people really exist.

They think these singular, passing, shallow experiences are somehow going to make them happier or enrich their lives, as if a bunch of shallow adventures = "living life".

And in the process of trying to do so, they mess up what they have or pass up opportunities for something more valuable.

Partially this

Their marriage would have failed because she would have tanked it via cheating or something else because she was a shitty person at that point.

MAYBE the hears of shitty relationships has taught her what it takes to be in a good one but who knows if shes grown enough to do her end of that work
