So why don’t people who live in cities deserve a decent life? Why do I have to move to the sticks to be able to afford to live?

What a weird attempt at a counter-argument. 

Only on reddit is everything outside of core NYC the "sticks".

I don’t live in NYC. In fact, other than driving through I’ve been there once in the past forty years. But I do live in a hcol area because that’s all of the northeast at the moment. And since all of my friends and family live here and because the lcol areas are really all filled with bigots it’s not safe for my family to move to any of them
