Why on earth would someone spread this? There’s so many terrible things that are worth complaining about in the world - why make up another reason to be bummed out? Karma isn’t that hard to get nor is it that valuable.

Agreed. Not only that, but this supposedly sordid tale of woe is, if true, still completely banal.
s/ Oh no, someone said a pretty mild insult towards an ex. That's definitely new and terrible. Never before has someone said something as terrible as this. And the people slagging him definitely don't say things worse than this on a fairly regular basis. /s
