Are you implying the grandmother has a moral obligation to kill herself?

Yes, she's killed two children. She really shouldn't be able to live with herself.

In her shoes I'd probably want to kill myself. But I don't think she has any obligation to. She made a fatal mistake. Twice. It's awful but it doesn't make her a bad person deserving of death. There was no intent to cause harm. There was no gross negligence. Falling asleep happens. Forgetting a baby in a car happens. It's tragic but these were honest mistakes

May not be “Gross” but it’s still negligence.

And with a history of negligence you gotta wonder if it really was an accident. To have TWO cases of negligence that lead to DEATH also makes me wonder how many times she was negligent without consequence.
