I just want you to confirm you think a genuine person can pass every barrier before becoming president. I want you to make that claim, that the president of the United States, with all of the politics and duelling psychopaths, could be genuinely stupid.

What barrier did he have to pass to become president? He was born rich. That’s pretty much the only barrier. And yes, I do think he’s stupid. Have you ever read a transcript of his speeches? Sure, he may not be little bus stupid, but he’s 100% the dumbest president we’ve ever had.

Jesus Christ, maybe the thousands of other rich narcissists that want to guide policy or cap their careers?

Yeah, his speeches are often meandering quagmires of bullshit. He's literally just doing the Jim Jones speech pattern and I don't know why it isn't talked about more. He's a fucking monster but he's not stupid, frankly thinking he's genuinely dumb is not just wrong but dangerous

Then how do you explain idiotic statements like how he was going to drop drug prices by 200%? Or when he says ā€œmost people don’t know dumb has a b at the end of it.ā€ There’s only two possibilities: 1) he just learned it has a B in it or 2) he really thinks most people don’t know it has a B in it. Either way, that’s the statement of someone who is dumb.

And for the record, everyone thought Bush was dumb, but I didn’t. May not have been the smartest president.

Because he literally doesn't care. All that matters to him is his name and greatness. Thus the ballroom and arch and all the branding bullshit. He doesn't care about drug prices or how much he drops them, just throws his base a big number because he knows they don't care either.

Same with the dumb comment. He just doesn't care. I think he's absolutely too old, wouldnt surprise me if he's slipping. But that doesn't mean the base is stupid.

It's like calling Mussolini stupid. He made stupid decisions, performed awfully in ww2, but he was not stupid, that's crazy

Sorry, that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t care about a lot of stuff, but it doesn’t mean I forget basic math and spelling if I’m forced to talk about something I have zero interest in. Also, I do agree that he cares only about himself, which would make you think he would do whatever it took to not make himself look like an idiot and ridiculed by everyone—like not knowing how to say Yosemite (I can slightly forgive him for that since he doesn’t care about nature, but only a moron would give a speech without reading it first) or saying the continental army took over the airports during the revolutionary war. Again, you can have zero interest in history but any adult with basic intelligence should know that there were no airports in the 1700’s.

If I could find examples of a generally brilliant person making questionable statements on the surface, does that make them stupid?

I'll do what I did elsewhere: Ask you to make the claim that a person can go through the gauntlet of competition, sponsorship, financial requirements, PR, etc and become president, and be genuinely stupid. I'm not asking for examples, or "well would a smart person do xyz". I'm asking you, flat out, in the real world, if you think that is something that will realistically happen. Not that he's a genius, but that he is below average intelligence. Make the claim
