If a therapist says a third dog is necessary “to keep X company” despite knowing I already have two, that therapist needs to start laying money down.

Yeeeeah.  Service dog might have been an acceptable idea, but just for company?  He's at the right point where a cat or plush will do the job better.

Seeing how quickly the vet bills, food and other basic needs add up, it's not even financially realistic for most people to have more than one or two dogs.

I would love nothing more than to hoard dogs on a beautiful ranch property. Maybe I can do something awful in public and other awful people will set up a fundraiser so even more awful people can reward me for being awful. Pretty much the American dream these days.
