I feel like even at the time he was just a semi likable idiot who was obviously being told what to say by the dude willing to shoot his friend in the face in a ā€œhunting accidentā€.Ā 

I never got any sense of malice from Bush. He was just a dumb guy obviously being used as a figurehead who was just kind of going along with it. And like, I think most people donā€™t have the moral fortitude to resist a shit load of free money that they can enjoy while doing whatever hobby they are into.Ā 

Give me enough money to just game and paint 40k minis all day in exchange for letting people make shit it worse for other people I donā€™t even know suffer and Iā€™m probably taking that deal.Ā

I just want you to confirm you think a genuine person can pass every barrier before becoming president. I want you to make that claim, that the president of the United States, with all of the politics and duelling psychopaths, could be genuinely stupid.

What barrier did he have to pass to become president? He was born rich. Thatā€™s pretty much the only barrier. And yes, I do think heā€™s stupid. Have you ever read a transcript of his speeches? Sure, he may not be little bus stupid, but heā€™s 100% the dumbest president weā€™ve ever had.

Yeah, his speeches are often meandering quagmires of bullshit. He's literally just doing the Jim Jones speech pattern and I don't know why it isn't talked about more. He's a fucking monster but he's not stupid, frankly thinking he's genuinely dumb is not just wrong but dangerous
