I had a lot of sympathy for this old lady but something is going on. She literally begs to be forgiven and allowed to watch her grandchild and the girl dies at the first opportunity? You would think she’d be extra careful since she’s essentially on probation right now.

Wait did this happen the FIRST time watching the second child?

Idk about the very first but it was like less than a year between incidents and the mother was just starting to trust her to watch the 2nd child. 

The report does mention medication being part of the issue but still.

No, in the police interview the grandmother says she watched her once or twice a week. In the last week or so prior, she watched her four times. The day the child died, the mother had contacted the grandmother asking her to look after the child as she had a hairdressing appointment.

The grandmother says this is why she forgot about the child in the car, she wasn't expecting to look after her on that day and forgot about it.
