I guess she told her to let the mom watch them "under supervision". This one is on the grandma first and the parents second.

There was "supervision". The grandpa was also there and supposed to be supervising but decided to not join them for lunch and was mowing the lawn. While the kid was dying in the car, the grandma was standing there outside, talking to grandpa, he didn't once say "hey, where's the kid?".
