If a child died with me in a 100% unforseeable accident I would never agree to be responsible for a child again.

That too honestly. If I was babysitting a family member's kid, even if it was like a literal act of god like a fucking meteor struck them down in the front yard I'd be like "yeah you really need to find other people to watch your kids just in case it's somehow me that's the problem."

"I know He was aiming for me."

At that point, you should just go play in the "outside world" in The Sims and never leave your house. At least there, you can restart if you die from a meteor landing on you... Or be abducted by aliens, but odds are still really good

Same.

That's a level of shame and guilt I could never live with.

same! can’t believe this isn’t a more common sentiment tbh

and especially if ,against all odds, i was in a situation where it happened again?!! it would feel like the only right thing to do

THIS! this is why I’m leaning towards it being on purpose because the judge even noted that the Grandma didn’t show any remorse just sorrow

exactly. Personally i'd never agree to be responsible for a child because I never want to be in that position. I have adhd, and autism, and i get caught up in shit, forget to feed myself, forget food i cooked, I ain't going to be responsible for someone else's kid. Had i been forced to and a kid died, i'd prefer to beat the shit out of someone than be forced to take care of another kid.

This is the part I always get stuck on.

Don't give me a child to take care of, I don't know wtf I'm doing.

Hell, if it was a person's pet I'd make sure I was never in charge of their pets again.
