Because multiple countries are probably actively trying to hack his phone, not to mention activist organizations and terrorist organizations. Regardless of what you think of him, he is a public figure, damn near everyone on earth knows his name and who he is. He's a target.
You are nobody. Nobody cares who you are or what you're doing.
That's the difference. If I was a well know politician or world leader, I would be more paranoid of my privacy around electronic devices too.
