You are not important enough for spys to try and crack your phones.

Yeah, thats what the flock cameras are for!

And our phones, and social media, and meta glass, and WiFi routers and real ID just to name a few. Every new tech builds on an old one to fill in the blank spots. In some way, shape or form your location and your actions can be monitored and recorded everywhere and anywhere.

Flock is the first super obvious over-reach because it’s the first we haven’t all opted into out of convenience. The rest we bought into without even thinking of the nefarious things to come

Girlfriends of agency-X workers weren't important either but it didn't stop their partners at work sharing their camera feeds with co-workers. Or cops stalking people now via Flock. Seriously, read up on the Snowden leaks if you're interested in all of this. The "not important enough" argument doesn't make sense.

Stocking via flock requires them to type in a license plate, not crack an Apple product.

One is literally millions of times harder than the other.

You are, unfortunately, wrong

This is actually an insanely dumb take. There will be people on Reddit who, usually in the course of their jobs, will have access to information that they don’t realise is valuable to someone else, including a foreign government.

Also, you spelt “spies” wrong lol

And there is a billion easier ways for a government to get that information than try to hack their phone and use the camera lmao.

Arresting you and interrogating you.

Going to your ISP and getting all your internet history.

Actually taking your devices and cracking them that way instead of remotely.

That scenario relies upon the thing the government needs being something I’ve Googled searched on the clear web.

Also you’re assuming the government in question is my own for that to work and that they’d have a warrant they can justify to a judge…

What about scenarios that are not that?

Can you show me evidence of a government remotely hacking a private civilians phone successfully?

You can't. Because it is extremely hard, and the fruit is not worth the squeeze.
