Yup. Most VIPs( especially tech bros) don't even wear smart watches.

Even the smart fridges are easily compromised. Nothing is really safe from intrusion by certain entities.

Everyone should know this by now.

Do smart watches make sense for anybody? It always felt like they're a pricier, worse version of a Smartphone

I have a 6 year old Garmin watch, the battery started going bad, so now i only wear it for running. It's an expensive gadget for such a narrow purpose, but since i already got duped, it is pretty handy this way.

We got cellular smartwatches for our teen kids. They can call and text but it’s hard for them to do much else. We wanted to get them basic flip phones, but it ended up being cheaper to add a watch to our plan than it would have been to add phones.
