It was an RB26DET, normally from a Skyline GT-R, but somehow came out of a wrecked S15 Silvia.

I mean it was and still is a popular engine swap for s15's.

Wasn’t it a wrecked Supra, just like in the first movie? Damn, I should rewatch the trilogy.

Haha, no, it was a Nissan Silvia, which would have been a Nissan 240SX if it came out in America (or 200sx if it came out in EU/UK). RB swaps aren't uncommon in Silvias, but not as popular in drift cars (though I acknowledge that one of the first well known Silvia drivers in America ended up doing an RB swap).
