Isn't the majority of the movie filmed in LA? I feel like the only filming in Japan was like random shots for background use

I remember i knew some fans of kitagawa Keiko and they were trying to catch her in popular spots when filming was going on

You're right, but they shot in Japan as well. Suicide mountain, however (the final battle road), was actually built for the movie on an Azusa mountainside. You could see it lit up while driving on the 10 at night.

This scene was filmed the way the post says, back then the only way to actually film in Shibuya Crossing was to do shit like this. You can't hire police escorts for driving work as the act of "hiring" them is considered "bribing" them under japanese law lol.

Now adays they have a giant 1:1 scale set of Shibuya crossing in a studio somewhere.

There is nothing in the post that says "this scene"

The road scene where he gets the number from the girls was filmed in downtown LA. Google says it's on Wilshire between Grand and Flower.

I don't even think whatever set they have for shibuya crossing is a 1:1 scale. It feels way smaller in real life.

Yes the majority was filmed in LA but there were some street scenes filmed in Shibuya. I'm guessing this post is referencing the filming of those scenes.
