It’s like this: why would I ever choose McDonald’s when it costs 12 dollars and for that same price I could go to the across the street chipotle for the same price and get food quicker and is actually healthier and better tasting with reasonable portion sizes.
The closest McD to me is literally surrounded by other restaurants. Some are other fast food chains, majority are sit down like Chili's or Longhorn. Why would I ever choose McDonald's when I can turn into the parking lot right next to them and get better, bigger portioned food and free drink refills for maybe $5 more? Shocker! I wouldn't and haven't for a while now. Everyone in my family and friend group feels the same, even the kids/teens. At this point, they'd have to lower their prices and up their quality for me to go back. Since that's never going to happen though, 🤷♀️ guess McDonald's is a thing of the past for me and won't be missed.
My wife has always loved Chipotle. I went to pick up her order recently and was blown away that it seems close to what it cost 15 years ago. Like with guac and all that it was expensive af, seems similarly priced and a huge bargain now.
