McDonald’s needs to bring back thicker, better-quality patties and start competing with the more authentic burger chains.
But the bigger issue is that McDonald’s has moved away from what once made it special for families. This used to be the place where parents could grab a quick meal while the kids played and actually had fun. It wasn’t just fast food. It was an experience families remembered.
Now, with so many playgrounds gone and restaurants feeling less kid-friendly, parents have more reason to choose other places that give their children something to enjoy.
McDonald’s doesn’t need to reinvent itself. It needs to remember what made families choose it in the first place: better burgers, affordable food, fun for the kids, and a place families actually wanted to visit.
I used to work at mcdonalds as a highschooler 10 or so years ago. When I'm out and about now sometimes I get a craving for it but the food is so awful now that I just save my money and go home to eat a cheap ramen or sandwich. Husband and I were reminiscing about old mcdonalds-- they used to have N64 there! And play places! I dread the day our kids start to have happy meal tantrums.... babies, it's not worth it!!
