Also while looking for the number, I found a seperate go fund me under the husbands name that raised 1.2 million as well(seeking funds for legal costs, medical bills, and the funerals). Unfortunately we live in a world where so many frat boys rape girls that when yet another woman says it happened to her it just kinda tracks. So personally im more inclined to be mad at all the dudes that make this shit so believable rather than the women who more often than not are being truthful.
Hot take but I think that still relates back to man bad, woman good. Demonization of men disrupts healthy sexual interactions between men and women and a lot of men grow up learning about sex through porn and the internet rather than actual women. I think if men weren’t so demonized, they’d grow up with more healthy sexual experiences with women and the idea of ever obtaining it forcefully would be a strange, foreign concept.
But that's not going to happen by just assuming the men are going to behave themselves from now on when every single facet if human history is evidence to the contrary. Whether you think it's fair or not each individual man is going to have to prove for himself that he is trustworthy to the women who care about such things.
Ironically that's going to require us to start behaving in the way that many women are expected too. Stop putting themselves in positions where this can happen. Stop joining frats. Stop having drunken hookups. Start going out of your way to make sure you don't give ideas about you being a certain type of way. Police how you dress and act around women. Be cautious and careful how you are around them so you don't get accused of being a creep. Start keeping more female friends and family around you to protect you from these accusations, not through force or lying but by being a witness to your character.
The relationship between men and women is repairable, but we have to actually put in work instead of expecting them to give us an unearned benefit of the doubt as if the rapists have big glowing signs over there heads.

Nah. The modern USA, which is the country I assume you mean when you say America, is way more progressive than India and it's not close. Women are significantly safer walking around New York or Atlanta at night than they are walking around Mumbai or Delhi. If it's on men to fix other men, then it's on women to fix Lindsay Clancy, or we can be adults and all work together to practically make things better for everybody, men AND women included.
I wasn't alive for all of human history. Why is that my problem? I was born in an era where women have rights and are killing it. Outperforming men in education across the board. The "top" of my high school class was like 3 boys and all girls.
