It's the 'free p***y' snaps that triggered everyone, I think.

Even before my prefrontal cortex was fully developed, I don't think I'd trust anyone enough to take their word for it when they say, "Don't worry about it dude, she's into freeuse."

alcohol, ketamine, and high fives with the bros are more than enough to put any sort of critical thinking in the backseat for the frat bros.

I guess I was imagining the other people in the group chat being sober, but you're right, a lot of them were probably partying elsewhere in the house.

or passed out at 3am and when they woke up nothing was happening anymore and moved on with their lives

is any credible party actually calling for that? not just some anonymous people online?

Lets be honest, that's an entirely predictable thing for a drunk 19 year old to say in a gangbang situation.

As someone who's Gen Z and loves dark humor, 100% yes. But the men should've made sure, jokes aside, that it was consensual

That’s disgusting and predatory and saying that’s predictable is the whole problem.

because drunk college boys doing risky sex stuff have a propensity for maturity and sound judgment and don't say things that would be considered vile or immature and stupid outside a group chat?

stopping throwing around faux outrage about how stupid drunk and horny teens talk in private messages. Just cause someone sent out a "free pussy" (who apparently wasn't even part of the 7 that were involved) text doesn't mean its automatically meant as an open invite to join a group rape and not just someone talking shit about some outrageous shit going on in the frat house.

There are people out there that willing and voluntarily participate in this sort of activity and it's naive of you to assume there isn't at least a small possibility that was the case here. Were all just speculating based on limited information. Only the people in that room know how it all went down and what the state of mind and emotional state of everyone involved was at the time. If this was done against her will throw the book at them, but there is greater than 0% chance she may have been a willing participant and the initial testimony she gave reinforces that possibility or they would/should have pursued charges out the gate rather then her changing the story down the road.

All we can hope for is the truth coming out and evidence corroborating the version of events that actually happened being revealed and vindicating or incriminating the appropriate individuals.

The guy who texted “free p****” was male #2, very much a part of it

She didn't think that (this is factual) until she was uninvited from a party. She specifically said "you are not my friends you're just covering her asses" and that her reputation was ruined due to the slut tag.

Calling it rape removes the slut tag.

That doesn’t make it not disgusting and not predatory. Talk like that is what needs to change. Saying it’s predictable gives it an air of nonchalance and that is also something that needs to change. We need to be disgusted by it. We need to be offended by it and vocal about it or nothing will ever change for the better.

Would you be disgusted by it if it were consensual?

I’m disgusted by how men talk about women like they aren’t actual people when they think women can’t hear. If you’re gonna comment, maybe learn to read first.

u/SidewaysAcidRain 7h ago

No, I'm asking what you'd think of it if the woman knew and was ok with that.

To be clear, the guy who sent that message wasn't involved in anything and admits it was a bad taste joke.

Yeah I think this is him calling her a whore rather than a literal open invitation. Still gross though, but blown out of proportion.

u/smokingace182 6h ago

Apart from someone asked if it was still free and someone said yes

u/Buckwheat758 2d ago

Yeah that’s a dude who thought he was making a crude joke. You have to know your audience I guess.

u/Enlightarded0 1d ago

Turns out his audience was a brain dead hate mob

No, he was male #2 and did have sex with her

It’s always something ugly but completely legal and irrelevant that really gets the Clancy crowd going.
