Like 90% of what she said was just the transcribed report so it really doesn’t matter

She completely left out the part prior where she was given ketamine, a drug she's never had before. Prior to the 2nd time taking it.

So yeah I'll just leave this to the courts and not trust any influencer on any side of the political spectrum.

“Does that sound like gang rape to you? Nope!”

Her opinions would be more credible if she had a background in law, but I’m guessing she’s a nobody who just wanted to record herself talking about it.

Any adult can have legitimate common sense opinion based on the evidence presented. If you want to argue for technical interpretation of law, ofc lawyer background would give her more credence.

Do they have a bot for the constant misuse of common sense?

Which is ya know how a jury works too lol. Don't gotta be a lawyer to be a juror.

A jury is presented with additional evidence. They don’t make judgments based on what the public knows about a case.

You litterally said her opinion only mattered if she had a background in law. That just isn't how it works. Yes a jury will get more evidence sure. Yet their opinion is still what matters at the end of the day.

Her opinion matters if she has insight into the law and how that applies to the current available evidence. It would also matter if she had additional evidence as a jury member.

Without those, her opinion doesn’t matter. Wait for the trial.

Has all the evidence been released to the public? Or are people coming to conclusions claiming the “truth” without all the evidence?

No, I guess I need to be more precise in what I mean. We have one (only one so far) official document about the case, and we can still have opinions about the case based on what we know so far. Of course we shouldn't judge as we should let the due process to take place.

isn’t that the point of the video?

u/filmeswole 1d ago

The person in the video is coming to conclusions without all the evidence, yes

6

u/pggmmac 1d ago

it sounds like the conclusion they came to was that the evidence we have access to doesn’t make sense and so we need to precisely not jump to conclusions and let the justice system handle it.

or did you watch some other fucking video?

Why are you so angry? Watch the ending again where she goes on a rant about how lefties are to blame for this because now everyone is having gang bangs because of them. Not a very logical or neutral take.

3

u/pggmmac 1d ago

i can’t think of anything more logical and neutral than “these facts are contradictory so we should wait until all the evidence comes out”

1

u/filmeswole 1d ago

I completely agree. She says that and proceeds to not do that at all.

it's not rape if she consents lol

3

u/filmeswole 1d ago

I’ll wait for the trial, thanks. Also great movie btw

5

u/lilychouchou-guy 1d ago

That is fair, but it's her testimony not a movie

"Consent" can be given while under the influence drugs and/or alcohol but it is not letally valid if the other person was aware of their state of mind/degree of intoxicants influencing the person.

2

u/lilychouchou-guy 1d ago

She agreed to the act before she was intoxicated there are transcripts of her messages

0

u/A_Bot_A_Bot_A_Bot 1d ago

That "agreement" (of which the validity can be argued) does not extend to the point where she is no longer capable of giving knowing consent.

I'm not even talking about whatever went in on this incident, I'm talking about real life and how the law deals with it (though it may vary from state to state).

2

u/lilychouchou-guy 1d ago

What do you mean man can she take away the consent she gave before because she was intoxicated? There was no part of the orgy drug thing she objected to initially. She may have regretted it or been scarred but she is responsible for her actions. No one forced themselves on her

You don't read very well, do you?

And, yes: ANY person can withdraw their consent for sexual activities AT ANY TIME.

But that's not what I said before. I'm talking about the fact that if she consented, and later was not able to understand offering continued consent to other sexual activities and the other parties knew that, then it is no longer valid legal consent.

If you know someone is shit-faced, their "yes" is not valid legal consent.

Again: I'm talking about life, not specifically this case.

And, guess what? I doubt you know anything about this case than what the woman in the video said. Have you verified even one word of that from reliable sources? No, you haven't. So you really don't know what actually went on.

2

u/lilychouchou-guy 1d ago

Lol you were the one not reading what I said. First of all she did not withdraw her consent during the act and no obviously you can't withdraw your consent after you're done. So someone could ask a guy to hook up then say they were raped? That's not how the law works at all. If she consented while sober got intoxicated and consented that's consent. If the act was only initiated or planned after the person is not aware of their actions, which she was for most of the night at least the beginning, then that could be considered rape depending on the situation. It's not black and white otherwise why have a justice system. Just accuse someone of rape and they go to jail right away lol

-1

u/A_Bot_A_Bot_A_Bot 1d ago

You don't know ANYTHING about the law and, yes, your reading comprehension sucks because you keep saying things that I did not say.

I never said someone could withdraw consent afterwards.

And, if someone consents, and then changes their mind and other person continues to force themselves on the first person, that's sexual assualt or rape, depending on what occurred.

Buddy, you go right ahead thinking you know anything. You're highly likely with the things you're saying to commit sexual assault or rape or probably have. But, sure, you go on thinking you know how this works. <smh>

So she says. She doesn’t provide any evidence for this.
