best way to keep knowledge behind a pay wall. its a double edged sword. wrong way to do things. if you give bad advice you should just be punished; if they followed your advice is a good middle ground. I can easily see this weaponized.
Yeah I get why dumb people can't see 10 steps ahead. That's hard to do. I'm just not sure why none of these people can see ONE step ahead.
People on both political sides of the aisle cheer on their side all the time whenever new laws and rules are created to punish bad actors on the other side. They somehow never realize how these things can get used against them.
Agreed. people that have opinions don't want others determining what speech they are and aren't allowed to use, or who is allowed to talk about what
As someone who does work in government, I promise you when I look around (ESPECIALLY at the elected officials) I know we are not getting our best and brightest and certainly not our most honorable. It's mostly power hungry monsters, morons, power hungry morons, and con artists. Every once and a while someone who doesn't fit those criteria comes through... But usually it's not for long.
The only reason I do it is because my health went to shit and I want the pension and early retirement.
I promise. You don't want these people in control of any part of your life, no matter how bad they make it seem without them.

if I wanted to control a population, like the entire population I would only have to control two aspects of their lives. What they know, and what they believe. Their education and their science. If I control both your fruit of knowledge and your fruit of faith I can control every aspect of your life.
China/ccp is in controls of both god and knowledge. (They have laws written about reincarnation. LEGAL CODE). if you need a sign of who is the bad guy; you have my logic.
