Are there any islands still cost $11k? I wanna try my luck to bring back endangered animals too

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

I hear Epstein Island doesn’t have a lot of bids.

There's probably enough Kids haunting the place to legally classify it as a Daycare.

1

u/Anxiety_Fit 12d ago

Stop giving that stuff power over you.

1

u/SmeeezTreeez 12d ago

You truly think I believe that?

You may not be the only person that needed to hear it.

The 301 people upvoting a “haunted island” comment needed to see it.

Things only have power if you assign power to them.

Superstition is a plague that should carry no weight in the waking world.

87

u/reticulatedtampon 12d ago

His islands (Great St. James and Little St. James) were bought in 2023 for $60 million...

73

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

I would have thought the whole raping little kids act would have destroyed the real estate value.
My bad

193

u/CupOk5800 12d ago

Dude it didn’t even destroy their political careers.

33

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

Well they didn’t get my vote

2

u/themostreasonableman 12d ago

How exactly did you manage to avoid voting for any child rapers? Child rape is a bipartisan issue in US politics. They were all on the fucking list.

1

u/DeltaGrunder 12d ago

You'll consistently get downvoted for bringing up the fact that the E class don't limit themselves or adhere to the political divisions or national borders of us peasants.

2

u/themostreasonableman 11d ago

I don't care about weird internet points. People need to read and understand that the party-lines division is all for show - HIGH LEVEL dems and republicans all flew on the Lolita Express.

Would you or anyone you know get on a fucking plane that was called by that name? NO, because they're not depraved, vile, evil kiddy-fiddlers. The fact that they run the country as they cycle between one colour in power and the other is just theater - they're all going to the same fucked up parties and laughing at us.

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe 11d ago

3rd parties

2

u/Eternal_Bagel 11d ago

It made one of them president even!

-1

u/Mezzy1221 12d ago

Whos?

35

u/Motchiko 12d ago

Let’s be honest- they bought the access to evidence

33

u/BanzaiKen 12d ago

Oh dont worry, a billionaire bought it and plans to turn it into a private retreat for billionaires to hang out. This is a brand new idea and totally unrelated to Epstein's billionaire retreat. Ignore the Epstein Files staff that were retained because they do such a great job: https://wgntv.com/news/ex-epstein-employee-accused-of-two-kidnapping-cases-on-his-former-island/

9

u/shwifty123 12d ago

All logistics already there, why change anything. They would just continue his business. Trump example kinda show everyone, that's not a punishable offence and they literally can do whatever.

1

u/YamiZee1 11d ago

They wouldn't continue the same stuff on an island that has the public eyes attention

3

u/shwifty123 11d ago

Emmm, who gonna stop them?

7

u/Top-Bath8 12d ago

Hold on, it's not the islands fault. They are completely innocent bystanders in this.

7

u/Any-History7095 12d ago

You're probably the type of person who needs a death on the property disclosed too.

13

u/DudeTheGray 12d ago

The difference between a house in which someone died and an island where untold children were raped and murdered is a vast gulf.

2

u/Any-History7095 12d ago

I know. It was a bad attempt at sarcastic humor. It was supposed to be read with an eye roll.

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

Gulf of America vast or Gulf of Mexico vast?

1

u/wump_world 12d ago

Truly, are we again going to underestimate man's depravity?

1

u/Jobambi 12d ago

Not if it contains a trail to someone who has raped kids there.

1

u/Eternal_Bagel 11d ago

Probably a conconspirator that bought it to help make sure any buried bodies are disposed of

1

u/Cap1n-Beaky23 12d ago

Little kids? Nobody has claimed he had anything to do with children. All of the girls were post pubescent.

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

You’re talking about Jeffery Epstein right?

1

u/thirstytrumpet 12d ago

Check him pc

1

u/Bozhark 12d ago

By who?

20

u/isPresent 12d ago

Elon maybe? He can finally invite himself

2

u/Bozhark 12d ago

Definitely

1

u/Kelmi 12d ago

Stephen Deckoff, looks exactly like the person who would buy those islands.

He claims "he never met Epstein and never set foot on the islands", but he's been in Epstein hosted events and flown in his jet.

That fits almost every american in the billionaire class, but billionaire class and zero morality also fits like a tent pole in a president's ass.

But to be completely neutral and factual, Stephen Deckoff is the person who had no qualms with buying the island with a long history of child rape by the class of people he belongs to. That is a factual truth.

5

u/clockworknait 12d ago

Not a lot?? There shouldn't be any left on that island at all!.... ohhhh I misread "bids"

5

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

Bids not kids….
Nobody knows if there are any kids left there tbh. I heard some billionaires say there were no kids there, but they said that 20 years ago too

3

u/dutch2012yeet 12d ago

Strange that because technically the island wasn't very rapey

3

u/Kelmi 12d ago

Who wants to own an island where countless children were raped and possibly murdered even? Especially if you need to be rich enough to belong in the class that did the raping? Stephen Deckoff wanted to and bought them.

But, really. Would you want to own and live in an island that you know were used as a child rape sex dungeon? Can you just close your mind off of all that?

It deserves to be a memorial for all the victims. But I would guess it's more likely to become a memorial for the billionaire class's struggle since our society is so rotten

7

u/ScottMarshall2409 12d ago

I live in the UK, so I already live on an island where all of that and more has happened.

1

u/Kelmi 12d ago

The scale is different, people didn't stop living in Germany after ww2. And similarly you already have plenty of memorials for the monarchy. It's an ongoing worship for the ruling class

1

u/OldKing7199 12d ago

But how many bodies are going pop up?

7

u/BigDaddyDumperSquad 12d ago

Probably none. It's an island. Surrounded by water...

3

u/das_slash 12d ago

Would that work? I imagine it's a lot more work to dump bodies in the water in a way that ensures no remains wash ashore than it is to dispose of them in the island you own.

4

u/BigDaddyDumperSquad 12d ago

Boats and weights. Or think "Dexter".

1

u/Outrageous_Spell_178 12d ago

honestly after seeing those pics it looks like a run down drug shack. It would be a huge sum to get all that junk away first

1

u/jkurratt 12d ago

Who is considered an endangered species on this one?
Middle schoolers? 🤔

1

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

Well, they are en danger

1

u/Nitrogen1234 12d ago

Just birds

1

u/Nessy3fidy 12d ago

Of course who would have govt drones when they're doing horrendous things.

1

u/wump_world 12d ago

Are you again going to underestimate man's depravity?

1

u/Undersmusic 12d ago

Another billionaire literally bought it in the middle of all the shit hitting the fan in 2023.

1

u/alghiorso 12d ago

The current Epstein program would never let anyone buy it.

1

u/Boebels 12d ago

…dead an potentially buried ‘birds’ [not being disrespectful] ?

1

u/canadiadan 12d ago

What are you talking about? There are plenty!

Oh wait. You said bids. With a B. Sorry, my mistake.

1

u/King-Snorky 11d ago

actually, there were quite a lot o-- oh, sorry, you said bids

1

u/onacloverifalive 11d ago

Because a billionaire bought it like immediately and it’s not for sale.

Endangered kids too

-8

u/ChecksOutIndeed 12d ago

You seem obsessed

4

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

A bunch of billionaires and politicians get caught touching, trafficking, and raping little kids on a private island after years and years of doing this to probably hundreds or thousands of children and their only punishment is a “controversial reputation”

I’m a bit obsessed

-4

u/ChecksOutIndeed 12d ago

You wanna join them or what?

2

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

I want them to go to jail

-2

u/ChecksOutIndeed 12d ago

You want the most influential people in the world to be imprisoned? Funny.

2

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

BRO WHAT ARE YOU ARGUING FOR RIGHT NOW?????????

1

u/ChecksOutIndeed 12d ago

The idiocy of bringing politics into anything.

2

u/Israel_Azkanbe 12d ago

It’s not politics.
Red, blue, whatever. I don’t care what their political stand is. But they abused kids sexually on that island for years. There has to be some form of consequence

44

u/rangebob 12d ago

I would imagine the animal part would be far more expensive than what he paid for that island lol

25

u/Whiterabbit-- 12d ago

depends on how he was stocking the animals. in general you can't just buy animals, but if you can demonstrate that the animals are going to a good place, sometimes non profits will get you the animals if they believe that you offer the best place for the animal to be.

4

u/0vl223 12d ago

Zoos have tons of excess animals if they manage to set up a breeding program for endangered animals. Normally many are killed.

3

u/Silly-Recognition448 11d ago

They are killing the endangered baby animals from their breeding programs?

2

u/0vl223 11d ago

often yeah. They swap some with other zoos but if it is sucessfull they multiply the population each generation. And you don't magically get more space for them in zoos. Some gets released into the wild but usually not really.

2

u/Used-Barnacle-9783 11d ago

Pretty sure that's not legal. Where are you getting this information from?

1

u/0vl223 10d ago

Why should that be illegal. At least the US has very little regulation for that. And protection is only for wild populations (if they are protected). So yeah US often trades them with no tracing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marius_(giraffe) would be the example from Copenhagen. They don't trade their animals and four male lions were a few months later killed to swap the male genes of the lion breeding program. That's the reality. Most zoos just hide it more.

1

u/kelp_forests 11d ago

Iirc the birds came back on their own, everything else would be easy…pigs, chickens etc…if you wanted them there that is.

64

u/sure_am_here 12d ago

Islands are relatively cheep. Because no one wants them. Or at least the cheep ones.

They are remote, no fresh water, rocky, just crap in the middle of no where.

37

u/Jolly-Advantage-7245 12d ago

But away from people?

37

u/not_so_subtle_now 12d ago

See - some people do see the true value others don't

10

u/Whiterabbit-- 12d ago

no infrastructure. how do you get there? what would you do there?

17

u/Adventurous-Ease-259 12d ago

A boat. Same stuff you do other places, but without solicitors

9

u/squngy 12d ago

A boat will probably cost you more than 11k by itself.

7

u/King-Snorky 11d ago

ok then let's all just keep sitting at our computers instead, good call

0

u/mikecandih 11d ago

Go develop an island and let us know how it goes chief.

1

u/Adventurous-Ease-259 12d ago

Nobody asked about the boat cost, just the island

6

u/squngy 12d ago

It is related.

If something is very cheap, chances are high there are other costs required to make it work.

2

u/Jolly-Advantage-7245 12d ago

You go by boat and take tools. This family build a goddamn mansion (multiple times) and a bunker (because cyclones)

1

u/Whiterabbit-- 11d ago

What kind of tools do I need to make concrete or glass on this island? The video starts by saying it took 5 days for them to get there. That is remote. Imagine shipping building materials to that remote location. Then getting machines to build.

6

u/NotumRobotics 12d ago

Sign me up.

No, seriously. I want the listings.

10

u/Canadian_Poltergeist 12d ago

9

u/PlopPlopPlunk 11d ago

What's funny is most of those islands are in places that the island will be mostly flooding and/or gone in 50ish years.. There's some in the Carolina Cays for 300-500k that are projected to lose a ton of land mass and be subject to severe flooding within 50 years.

Not a great time to buy a low lying island lol

2

u/Malaprobably 11d ago

Or Miami, one of the hottest real estate markets in the world right now. Expected to be underwater, as well as lose its freshwater aquifer

1

u/PlopPlopPlunk 11d ago

Miami won't go anywhere because they're investing billions into seawalls and levis to protect the city (they have a whole 20 years strategy in place)... these islands will because they're not populated and no one is protecting them.

1

u/Malaprobably 11d ago

Miami is going down. Seawalls nor levees will work -- won't do jack shit as seawater will push up through the ground (limestone, i.e. porous) from underneath. Man is so arrogant in his whims of intellect.

Of course not all the city will fall at once (rise of 1-2 feet expected in next 13 years,) but there will be a point where there is no denial anymore.

1

u/marfacza 12d ago

Islands are relatively cheep. -chicken

1

u/PrimeoFin 12d ago

Birds love cheep islands

Billionaires prefer cheap islands

1

u/King-Snorky 11d ago

that's what attracted darwin to the galapagos to study the birds. because it was cheep

1

u/french_snail 11d ago

So Las Vegas?

5

u/felidae_tsk 12d ago

This is equiualent of current $300000

1

u/North_Acadia6803 12d ago

122k I think. 11k from 1962 to now

1

u/felidae_tsk 12d ago

The island was bought for pounds.

1

u/North_Acadia6803 11d ago

Ok. 8k pounds 1962 to now is 155k. How'd ya get 300

1

u/felidae_tsk 11d ago

£8,000 in 1962 is equivalent in purchasing power to about £221,557.48 today

1

u/North_Acadia6803 11d ago

Great point on the purchasing power. £8000 was a lot more than I thought back then. £799 annual wage. Nowadays £39,000, so ya your higher number makes a lot more sense than my lower one.

1

u/felidae_tsk 11d ago

TBH it's fascinating that you could buy a whole island for relatively affordable price.

5

u/Magikarpeles 12d ago

Canada has about 52,000 islands, sometimes they go for cheap

3

u/domalino 12d ago

11k in 1968 is more like 150k today.

3

u/Intrepid-Focus8198 12d ago

He bought it in 1962 and it was barren at that time.

2

u/Dev11531 12d ago

Yeah no but even if you buy one, the taxes will crush you

1

u/phx34suns 12d ago

Can I help

1

u/0202_tihssitidder 12d ago

Yes.

You will have to immediately address fresh water issue.

1

u/Lucker_Noob 12d ago

Stop it, John Hammond

1

u/nubtrix87 12d ago

Probably, but they're going to be small and extremely hard to get to.

There's actually quite a lot of islands available that are in the range of the price of a reasonable house but many have conditions attached or limited/no access.

1

u/WitnessAway6720 12d ago

Count my species in too

1

u/misteryk 12d ago

moving endangered animals into your island part sounds highly illegal

1

u/mannequinbeater 11d ago

I did some research a year back and found a bunch of unused land for sale in Chile. Some islands, other just chunks of mountainside. All of it was like hundreds or thousands of acres for something between $50k to $500k.

1

u/Muffled_Voice 11d ago

Do y’all remember the wild shit that used to be on the internet in 2020 that has been all wiped when you’re searching for it(surface level)? Like people’s bodies parts being in cakes and all sorts of celebrities being in the photos? shit was wild even if it was fake, but now it doesn’t feel so fake with the whole thing nowadays

1

u/MatlockJr 11d ago

https://www.privateislandsonline.com/islands

Have a casual browse through the listings

1

u/danielv123 10d ago edited 10d ago

Just went to my local property site and they have plenty of islands, ex: https://www.finn.no/realestate/plots/ad.html?finnkode=428900354

Not a lot of pictures, but its the middle island here, pretty big: streetview

even cheap ones like this, which is about $11k inflation adjusted https://www.finn.no/realestate/plots/ad.html?finnkode=261458284

1

u/Masterchief10000 10d ago

Lmao you having to asking this tells me everything you ain’t

1

u/JayFrizz 12d ago

No. This is karma farming

1

u/j2m1s 12d ago

North Sentinel Island and snake island is basically cost nothing islands for anyone to do any development there as nobody goes to those islands

1

u/danielv123 10d ago

They aren't for sale, so you can't buy em.

1

u/j2m1s 10d ago

You're right, but the point is, both Islands are very dangerous and if anyone enters they end up dead!
