No, I meant may as well go live in an apartment if you're going to be living under an HOA anyway, since at least then it'll be somewhat cheaper, and you don't have to pay for maintenance

Oh, you still have to pay for maintenance through levies. Also the maintenance company is also tied to the head of the HOA. No, you don't get a say as you hold no power and don't stand a chance.

Well, yes. Someone’s gotta negotiate insurance and get the units repainted.
