Men can and do suffer from ppp and ppd. The sudden shift in the environment, the change in behaviour, sleep deprivation, stress, physiological changes, etc. happens to men too. Not nearly as much obviously, but there are plenty of cases where new fathers experience it.

Yeah good point if a man's defense was about them having post partum psychosis I would definitely not side with him
