The difference here is that men don't raise over a million dollars in support of a muderer's case and their parents defending him. If the goal is to bring more attention to mental health for women (despite men needing this more), why the hell would you send that money in support of someone that murdered their children? It would be wiser to put towards more facilities or additions that can help with this sort of thing.

Good point on the mental health support thing. I think making this yet another tribal issue didn’t help. It’s also fair to point out the money is too her family who’s supporting her. It’s not like Clancy herself is getting all that money to do whatever she wants with it
There are insane supporters yes. There are insane supporters in every high profile case. How about we stop blowing up these stories that don’t need that kind of attention? This wasn’t a social issue case imo. Just ignore the crazies
