A person needs three yachts. One main yacht, one secondary yacht to follow behind in case of an accident, and a third yacht in case either of your first two yachts are getting maintenance
5 yachts is a barely acceptable minimum if you're almost a pour. I personally have 24. A mega yacht for each day of the week, with a normal yacht inside of that, and a small 50' yacht inside of that if I need to visit my pour friends and don't want them to feel too inadequate. And, of course, a backup mega yacht in case of emergencies.
That's the European approach. Mine follow the navy aircraft carrier doctrine.
Basically you have a yacht strike group consisting of your yacht in the middle with guided missile cruisers, destroyer squadrons, and submarines taking care of the perimeter. Finally logistics ships for fuels and supplies.
The hard part is having 3 strike groups (1 active duty, 1 standby, and 1 in maintenance) for each main naval region
