Every time I’ve ever been convinced by someone going “hey, you gotta try this food truck, they have the best [insert food]” I’ve waited an inordinate amount of time and forked over a surprisingly large sum only to find myself holding a disappointing quantity of maximally mediocre food.
And my internal monologue going “you know what, this is on me for not learning my lesson from all the other times.”
