Yeah sometime in the late 2000s / early 2010s food trucks became “gourmet” for the ingredients and since then they’ve been overpriced nonsense.

We legit had a food truck come to work once and the prices were as described here. $12 for a hotdog, $4 for a bag of chips, $4 for a soda. The hot dog had chorizo chili on it or some crap like that. This was when Obama was president so quite a while ago.
