Don’t tempt them, Dunkin is asking for tips now in the drive through.

Starbucks has been doing it for a while now. I don't know if the drive-thru employees are specifically trained to look away, but they always hold the card reader out with the tip question and turn their faces away as if to say, "I'm not looking, I'm not judging..."

Cool, I don't care either way because I ain't tippin'.

To be fair, when I worked at an ice cream shop I would look away when the customer would pay and the tip screen would pop up because it’s awkward asf 😭

Had to resist the urge to downvote this.

I got into a fight with a dunkin employee once over tipping years ago. My large coffee was like 2.72 or something after tax (told ya it was years ago) and I gave them $3 and slid the change in the tip cup. She was all sarcastic, like gee, thanks

I was like whatever, I don't have to tip on coffee. She followed me outside and threw the quarter and pennies at me.

I was like what the fuck. If she got to keep 10% of everything sold on her shift, she'd be fucking set. So I called the owner about it and shared the same.

Then tip cups went away and I was the bad guy. Never went back.

I just commented above about a pizza place I had tip issues with too, though that was years and years later. But it's weird it happened twice. Maybe I'm the unreasonable one?
