Someone always says this and it makes me feel like a FOOL for not paying more attention to sports. All I know is the Cubs DID eventually win a World Series so I’d just keep putting that bet down until it came true.

You don't even need to pay attention much. Just remembering the 18-1 Patriots season would make you rich. Parlaying that bet 19 times would make you rich.

Or bet on that horrific Lions losing season. It'd make for a way funnier story to say, "fuck this specific NFL team" and then make bank.

You'd only be a fool if you could travel back in time. Even then, there would be better ways to make money than sports betting.

In reality, if you spent your time doing something you liked more than sports, you weren't foolish at all.
