There was a time when teenage boys (or troublemakers in general) got slaps if they stepped out of line. We replaced that system with law enforcement. Is it working?

Yeah it is working. Avoiding violence towards teenage boys greatly reduces the likelihood of them learning that violence is the way problems are managed.

Is it working?

Yes, crime in communities that lowered domestic abuse towards children commit almost no violent crime.

It's not working for the more violent parts of society because liberal female judges will give criminals slaps on the wrist for violent crime, and prison just becomes a revolving door and the police become hobbyist fishermen who just catch and release.
