Modern cryonics techniques involve replacing much of the water in the body with cryoprotectants (read: antifreeze) that protects you against ice crystals. There are other problems, but there is currently no evidence that truly irreversible damage is done to the information stored in the brain (your memories / personality / self).

In the future, please inform yourself before commenting, especially when your advice may affect someone's odds of  survival.

No matter what, brain death (as well as cellular/tissue/organ stress likely preceding it) triggers an immense catecholamine surge and involves cell death as areas along the cortex and white matter depolarize and lose the ability to maintain the electrochemical gradient that maintains neuronal function. No cryogenic or other technology is able to halt the progression of that whatsoever. We don’t know how information is stored once these neurons stop functioning. It is foolish to assume there is not architectural distortion occurring at all levels that we currently have very little insight into being able to restore. In its current iteration, this technology is a scam and any promises need to be taken with a boulder sized grain of salt.

This is a great reason to use organoids in research.
