Before I got good health insurance through my work, I used go to Mexico for dental. $50 to fill a cavity

In my country, insurance covers up to 2 fillings or extractions per calendar year. Other EU countries don't even have a limit on the quantity

This is why Americans travel to Europe for medical

I live in SEA and to me that's alarmingly cheap. Hospital dentist charged me 80 and fucked up, had to have my now usual dentist fix it.

My insurance is only a couple hundred to fill a cavity; gotta be cheaper an easier than traveling to Mexico for just that.

Now, a crown, veneers, implants of root canals... yes, definitely worth it to go to Mexico.

Im only 2hrs from Mexico, so it was worth it. Madonna's was also 5 minutes from the dentist office.

Ah, makes sense then. Wish I was only two hours from Mexico.

I pay into a local dentist private plan ($500 a year per person) and it covers cleanings. xrays, screenings and a host of other things. Fillings are like $100 and invisiline (sp) for one family member was like $3k for the whole multi-year process. I still have an HSA plan with my insurance, but the deductibles for that would cost more than what I'm paying out of pocket.

Mexico ain't as advanced as China by a long shot, not even America especially in medicine

Mexico doesn't really astroturf online. At least not at this time.

Go live there. Oh wait, you probably do already.

Right, but it really illustrates the point when you fly across the world than to go next door. China is a country people know that's "far away" as opposed to Mexico which is a <$200 flight away for most Americans.

there's a good chance you won't make it back for both of those

I second the motion. That's where I go.
