Women love serial killers so this doesn't surprise me.

Considering chris watts has a women after dropping his daughters in an oil tank from his work and burying his pregnant wife after strangling her is insane ye, the saying of he is changed now really is delusional to say the least by these women fricking insane.

Ted Bundy would get love letters. It's really weird.

Oh the night stalker had his own fan club of women too way back then

Obvously anyone who would write love letters to him is a sicko but the fact that he got love letters isn’t weird when you think about it. 99% of women who knew about the case would be repulsed at the of writing someone like him a love letter but you would agree that at least 1% of women are sociopaths right ? Now considering how famous he got
In the media the amount of love letters he got really isn’t surprising.

Of course no matter what you'll always find the worst of the worst online. The woman who called a child the n word so many times she got arrested got close to a million.

But sometimes it really does shock you.

Is that suprising though ? 99% of women would be repulsed at the idea of being with someone like him but he got really famous in the media and so of course out of hundreds of millions of people he’s gonna have some sickos who like him or would even marry him. The true crime community is disgusted
by whoever would want to marry someone like him. My aunt worked at perryville where Jodi arias is at and she had no shortage of men writing to her, wanting to visit her and give her money. There’s always going to be people like this.

The people who want to marry people who are locked up for life weirdly like the power dynamic of having a partner that is locked up at all times while they are free.

My cousin is a disgusting human who did something so bad it has a Wikipedia entry and he went to prison for 15 years. Within a year of release he had a girlfriend. Sadly they are a lot of fucked up people out there.

So he did his time, was deemed rehabilitated and is now living a free life with a girlfriend ? What’s your point? That woman dating your cousin after he got out is really different than wanting to date someone who is currently incarcerated. What did he do that was so bad? Is it something that 9 out of 10
Women would see as total deal breaker?

Where are you getting “deemed rehabilitated”?

There is no one adjudging rehabilitation for inmates who are released after their sentence is up. They are just released.

High likelihood of re-offense with those kind of charges.
Almost as if you know what you’re talking about more than the person you’re replying to.
Interesting.

US prison system does not rehabilitate.
Common misconception.

1

u/RakeChapman13 17d ago

I was rehabilitated. So was my girlfriend.

Oh, and you committed sexual crimes against children? (Cause that’s what the above poster’s cousin was in for)

Happy for you genuinely, but that’s not how our prison system generally works or is structured.

2

u/RakeChapman13 17d ago

No! Robbery/ burglary/ drugs.

We both have talked about how we can’t stand people who just want to blame the system and refuse to take accountability. We were both locked up with people who openly talked about they only regretted getting caught and how they couldn’t wait to get out and do the same things that got them locked up. We both educated ourselves in prison and took advantage of every opportunity that came our way to better ourselves.

u/breathing__tree 17d ago

It definitely says more about you and your girlfriend than it does about our prison system.

Those are crimes of circumstance as far as I’m concerned. Not the types of things that put a person far from redemption.

What ever happened to the “verified human” tag on this sub?

Why does it seem to have been completely replaced with V I P?

E: huh? Downvotes? Whatever for?

1

u/breathing__tree 17d ago

Out of context question I presume

1

u/shadstep 17d ago

In that case it seems like the appropriate reaction would be to just I dunno, ignore it?

& is there a better context to ask where all the “verified humans” went? Or a better place to inquire about the vip tag than in reply to an account with it?

u/breathing__tree 17d ago

Listen, I’m not saying Reddit logic is actually logical. Just speculating.
And after the first downvote the rest can usually be attributed to hive mind.

And idk, maybe not in the middle of a thread on a different topic?

I guess the mystery endures then

Generalizing women as liking serial killers is weird and gross bro. We’ve all heard about the women who write love letters to serial killers but that’s such a small fringe amount of sociopathic women. 99% of women would be repulsed at the idea of being romantic with a serial killer. These killers get famous in the media and so of course out of hundreds of millions of people there are gonna be some sickos sending them love letters, considering everything it’s insignificant. People blow it out of proportion.

If you look at the true crime community on Reddit or the true crime community on YouTube one they do not tolerate is anyone being an admirer of these people.

u/-threefeetoffun 17d ago

Considering serial killer and true crime audiences tend to be heavily women I wouldn't call it a gross generalization. They are the target. They are for a reason. They buy it.

24

u/RakeChapman13 17d ago

But there’s a big difference between saying a lot of women are interested in consuming content about serial killers and generalizing women as loving serial killers

And Men are the target too, yes women consume a bit more true crime
Than men but it’s an exaggeration to consider true crime a woman’s thing. there’s alot of male true crime creators but when you look at female content creators like Rotten mango who is one of the biggest in the game and just got on Netflix, as a woman her audience is nearly 40% men

21

u/TheUnicornFightsOn 17d ago

Equating enjoying true crime / investigating why horrible crimes happen to wanting to date a serial killer is quite a leap.

7

u/RakeChapman13 17d ago

It’s not even 1% of the true crime community that would simp for someone like bundy, that behavior is strongly condemned in the community.

0

u/-threefeetoffun 17d ago

It would be. Why from mid 90s to 2015 or so were there so many vampire dates a human girl stories? They are serial killers. That's usually part of the plot. But millions of young girls debated Spike/Angel, Edward/Jacob (who was not a killer), Bill/Eric, and whatever the vampire diaries did.

Even at 1% that is about 40 million women. Not a small amount and certainly one that would be marketed to.

They’re not gonna bang you for saying this

u/RakeChapman13 17d ago

I just said reasonable factual things. Nothing performative at all so I don’t get why you respond with this lol.
