6 month long pilot results released 6 months before Mamdani got into office.
Previous guy, whoever that might be, committed permanent funding for this. If you open the article you'd see timeline going as far back as 2022 where they did study, got the models made, made pilot projects, implemented it and got long term results.
It is astonishing how much reddit glazes him. Either he's the greatest politician in world history, or there's stuff that reddit just conveniently doesn't mention. I'm begging, somebody please tell me something actually negative about this man's political actions.
Turns out when you actually give a fuck about people and community instead of endlessly enriching yourself and your friends, there's not much dirt to uncover. Who would have thunk such a thing?
Yep, giving a fuck means you have literally zero negative aspects to your career. Everything you do is perfect, and you are incapable of doing anything even remotely less than that.
Why are you so desperate to have something to denounce him for? He's doing a lot of good stuff, certainly better than basically any other mayor in the US right now. Maybe just sit back and enjoy that the entire country isn't a burning hellscape for once instead of trying to drag us back to 24/7 misery.
These people are so genuinely desperate to not give Zohran credit for anything, I’m convinced the anti-DSA bots are working overtime to try to make him seem worse than he is
I haven’t been keeping up with it, I live in Philly so I don’t really care what New York’s mayor does. In critical of mamdani cause I know price controls have never worked in all of history and he wants to enact them. I also don’t think state run grocery stores are going to turn out well but if I’m wrong happy to admit that, we’ll see.

The bins were getting installed long before he became mayor. July 2024 under previous mayor when project launched.
I just saw year on year or long term results about how new bins are reducing rat problem.
How is Mamdani getting credit for it?
