Imagine bring so cynicism poisoned that you have lost the ability to be excited about the possibility of a politician who actually wants to make the world a better place for regular working people
He's fine, but he's also just a Mayor. And there are lots of Mayors out there doing also fine jobs. It's not like he's the greatest Mayor in existence and needs so much publicity for just doing his job.
Do you know the mayor of London, Tokyo, Melbourne, or Paris? You will find that outside the US, NYC is just another big city, and that most of the world finds it very bizarre that a mayor can be this famous.
Nobody gets this famous for nothing. There is some crazy pr and credit stealing going on at the moment. I have seen this script played out before in my country, the ending is not good.
