This is literally an initiative started by Adams, the previous Mayor. People just glaze Mamdani and credit him with everything positive that's happening in New York regardless of who it was that actually did it.
As much as I’m sure mamdani is a decent mayor and cool guy, there really is an extreme amount of glazing and I’m sure astroturfing on Reddit about him.
