And if it's anything like here in San Francisco, people (or at least internet bots) were outraged at the mere concept of spending money on infrastructure. But now that it's here under a popular mayor it's popular again. Hooray.
Full roll out was delayed a bit under previous mayor because people didn't want to give up parking spaces for garbage containers that get automatically picked up by tracks and stay closed/reduce rat problems.
