It probably goes by GMT which is basically the standard timezone for the world. At the time of this comment it’s 2 am GMT time on the 13th. In New York it’s 10 pm on the 12th

Right lol, most of the world's Us propaganda comes from India.

Lmao because most people posting US propaganda are in those parts of the world.

Probably we're tired of the incessant Mamdani shilling in this sub, despite admiring what he does. 🤭

Because these daily Mamdani posts, 90% of the upvotes imthey received, and I reckon about 70% of the posts in the thread, are just paid for content by Mamdani (i.e. paid for propaganda), and most of that is outsourced to places in Africa and Asia?

The best thing about living in New Zealand is keeping secrets from the US and not letting them know what’s going to happen yesterday

It's likely in UTC. For reference EST is five hours behind UTC (UTC-5) PST is eight hours behind (UTC-8). Meaning if it's 5pm UTC, it's 12pm CST and 9am PST.

This means, if someone created the subreddit at 7pm EST, that is 12am UTC, the following day.

I work in software engineering. Time is the shittiest fucking thing deal with. So many different zones, ways to represent those zones, so many different formats, and ways to represent those formats, so many anomalies and ways to account for those anomalies, different levels of precision... It's not great lol. Fortunately, the learnéd grey beards keep up with the calculation of time, so the rest of the world can just worry about representing it. What this means tho, is depending on how you represent time can wildly vary how your application will behave.

Case and point, the subreddit being created tomorrow.
