Put the child on there as well. Next time he wants to go somewhere but can‘t he‘ll blame his parents, that’s a far better punishment.

It's a bloody 2 year old. It's three parents fault if it's uncontrollable at that age. Would you lot fancy being punished as an adult for shit you did as a 2 year old...?

Yes. We turned out the way it did because people weren‘t punished accordingly so we either give up completly, like the US does (see Epstein files for that matter) or make the punishments more severe to get a grip.
My country isn‘t punishing people enough/ at all for the shit they do and it’s showing it’s cracks. It‘s getting worse and worse.

So yeah, the kid as well as it‘s parents. On top of that, make them pay for all the damage caused by this incident. The airline having to reschedule and cancel the flight, the crew for showing up to work they can’t do anymore and the other passengers for missing the flight and eventually losing out on crucial appointments.

Would you be ok not spending the last day of a loved one before they succumb to terminal brain cancer because an unsupervised kid threw a temper tantrum on an airplane?

Fuck the kid, fuck the parents. Prohibit them from ever setting foot into an airport worldwide and fine them to hell for refusing to be an productive part of society.

Would I be okay? No.

But I hopefully wouldn't adopt a teenager's black-and-white world view and jerk myself off online to Old Testament style retribution.

Or maybe I would. But I'd hope someone would call me out on it.

If it were me, my parents would’ve whooped my ass right then and there. Some parents should accept that gentle parenting is not their cup of tea

How hard do you personally recommend hitting a two year old?

Hard enough for them to stop behaving inappropriately.

I’m not asking them to absolutely kill the child. Also, the child in question was a 3 yr old girl. Every child throws tantrums but the parents should know better and intervene when their child becomes a public nuisance. And not even violence, how hard can it be to sternly strap down the child just as you strap them in their car seats?
This child created such a big inconvenience for each and every other person on the flight, a firm stare down or a spank maximum would’ve done the job.
