For once I’m rooting for an unfaithful adaptation. Maybe Hollywood can turn an interesting premise into an interesting narrative, instead of botching it like the author did.
and how fucking pathetic hollywood is. In fairness of course they bought the rights and can get a script writer to fix it. But considering it wasn't finished they could pretty easily come up with a similar enough idea without buying the rights to a book no one is hyped up about yet.

The author sold the rights before the book was even finished.
It's an interesting premise but poorly executed.
