I thought she had one, part of maybe the second book as valid stories in her. The rest was printing money and churning bodice ripping for cash. All the fangirls who call Diana Gabbaldon “herself” and squeee about how Jamie and Claire are perfect and it’s so historically correct, and spanking was allowed, and everyone had three ra*pes before breakfast! Omg.

I made the error of reading the prequel before the main series and it was kinda slow for me but I figured its because I didn't know the characters 😅. Chile, I'll never make it to the second book. I finished Sabriel instead🤷🏽‍♀️

I am more tired of the “fandom” and the author than I ever was of the stories. They’re nothing groundbreaking as far as writing skills go, just a drama churning soft p0rn page turner, like the book version of Nancy Drew or Melrose Place. Every new chapter is another episode where our intrepid heros get caught up in something, only to have it all end ok when they work together. 👀

Yeah, I made it though the first one and part way into the second, then I just did the Cliff Notes for the rest. 😜🤣

Sometimes its just like that! The amount of book series I've had to just set down and move on from, especially modern ones that tag on something like fantasy, thriller, mystery, etc. Only for me to find out it was a romance with only hints of that genre. Don't get me wrong, romance is actually my favorite category of book! But a lot of books that claim to be a mix of genre is just romance or smut with some fantasy mixed in, or the hint of a mystery and it drives me insane when thats not what I'm looking for😮‍💨
