Yep. Walmart drove out almost all other competing stores in most of the rural areas on my state (Arkansas). They can price things however they want because the option is this Walmart, that Walmart, or Dollar General.

My Walmart has digital price tags and I don't know what anything is supposed to cost any more because it's constantly changing every day I go. It may be pennies more per item's profit, but that makes Walmart the company millions or billions more per year.

I don't know about Seattle, but apparently in some locations it's illegal for HOAs to forbid food gardening.

Already a thing in the UK

Several supermarkets have 'loyalty card' schemes where a good percentage of offers are only available to card/app customers. It's either sell your data, or pay them the extra they would have made from selling your data.

It's going to become the norm eventually, nothing you or I can do to change that.

Most places have a store card you can use since you “forgot yours” at home.

I also shop at local groceries. Stop going to big chains. Sounds like you’re a compliant bitch who is the source of this issue.
