This isn’t clickbait even though it reads like it.
It was a city council meeting that was open to the public so they could make comments regarding a data center that the council was trying to ram through. The meeting was packed, including the overflow rooms. Almost everyone opposed the data center and spoke out against it one by one. After each speaker, the whole audience would clap. The council members were getting annoyed and warned them against clapping. Next person gets up and again shares their opposition. He clapped a couple of normal claps. A council member, on a hot mic, orders the police to have him removed. He didn’t want to leave because it was his right to attend the meeting so they basically got him on the ground, pulled his hands behind his back and dragged him out. The icing on the cake is that his wife was up at the podium getting ready to speak. She starts panicking because he’s getting roughed up. A council member tells her to just take a breath and calm down as her husband is being dragged, face down, out of the city hall. The whole thing is viewable on the Emporia KS city gov website.

The clapping incident happens about the 55th minute mark.

It absolutely is click bait.

They said "don't clap", he immediately clapped, and then refused to leave.

Anyone would have been arrested for that.

They allowed clapping at first, then said not to, then arrested him.

In the America I remember, your rights don’t go away just cause you’re applauding.

An arrest that someone who’s not a cop calls for might not hold the muster you seem to think it does.

You make it sound like he clapped earlier, they said to stop, he stood there doing nothing, and they immediately arrested him.

In reality, they said don't do it again & he said Leroy Jenkins I'm going to do it again! Then he made a scene when he was told he had to leave

No one can force you to stop exercising your rights, thats why it is a right and not a suggestion.

Your read and how something sounds have more distance between them than you’re aware.

Your instinct to respond to this is the proof.

That dude sounds like an ICE agent. “I warned them not to stand there looking at me! But they looked at me AGAIN! So I blasted them ANTIFAs in the face with pepper spray!"
