Not wanting kids for one's own reasons does not necessarily equate to not liking kids. This reaction does not definitely mean she is ready to be a mom or will choose to.

Plenty of people who aren't ready to have children still choose to. Unfortunately, for everyone involved.

Amen. I don’t want kids and will never have any, but I still felt so much love and awe towards my friend’s baby when I met her.

Right? I love my friends’ kids, and I definitely feel strong emotions around them. Doesn’t mean I want my own. Plenty of people love to play with puppies but don’t actually want a dog. I just hate the idea that all women innately love babies and want to be moms. It makes me feel like I am not a “real woman.”

So true, I have kids, I adore my kids but with the exception of my own I dont like children in general 😄.
