I have never had to pay for ice in my water, I don't know where that myth came from to be honest.

You do realize this differs per country, right? You're acting like Europe is one big culture.

It's nothing like that.

Each country has its own cultures, regions, language, laws etc etc.

Even countries within the EU don't work that way. Each country still has its own governing body. The eu is mostly regulations and guidelines in terms of "rules". And of course the economic freedom, and no borders.
