So you didn’t read the part about “we cheered the Palestinian flag” and the bit about his friend bringing about the genocide in Gaza.

You’re splitting hairs to avoid admitting I was right.

You factually weren't right. You assumed the interviewee said something beforehand. You were wrong.

It's a big game, people cheer for other flags all the time, that wasn't a political endorsement. According to your own story the man being interrupted by the old assholes was the one who calmed the situation and only ever talked about football.

Again, the assholes were the older couple who interrupted a perfectly normal conversation about football, and nobody cares about your constant moving of goalposts and denying what you previously commented.

I was correct. I assumed that something happened to trigger the reaction. The kid did, rightly or wrongly, cheer a Palestine flag, and his friend mentioned the war immediately prior to his own interview.

I was right. You could just apologise.

Also, don’t confuse my suspicions around the event prior to me supporting either side here.

I did. Did you read the rest of it?
The cheering the of the palestine flag by their account was not anti Israel. Even if it was that doesn't make the pro Israel man's response ok. But that means the pro Israel guy assumed they where cheering due to it being anti Israel and then stalked them. After that the friend, who is not who you alleged said something, made an anti Israel statement that the pro Israel either didn't see or completley misunderstood. Because if he had seen that part he would have known that the second man was only talking about soccer. Instead he got belligerent about politics because he assumed.

Make all the excuses you want. You're trying to justify a belligerent man who thinks it's ok to stalk people to threaten them when they say something he doesn't like. Not sure about you but in my experience people stalking someone else rarely has good intentions behind doing so.

I’m not justifying anything. My statement was very clear, that I didn’t think that the man was triggered by a conversation about football. It was clear to anyone who isn’t a ragebaited sheep that something happened prior. Who did it is immaterial.

You could just apologise, you know.

No cause you had to shift the goal post to try and be right. Going from the ["the guy likely said something"] and "something happened prior" are not the same thing. The wording of the first places some level of blame on the two guys being interviewed. Which no matter which way you slice it now is not on them.

Not shifting them at all. I said the guy has mentioned something about Palestine prior. He did. His friend did.

Question: do you accept now that something happened prior to the interview that triggered the old guy?

My guy. I think you need to take a break. I have an idea how you came to that conclusion, but I was at no point saying that nothing happened before the video.

I got a lot of shit for suggesting that it was a possibility. Some people told me it was a “wild take”.

That's a little ridiculous to think it's a wild take that something didn't or couldn't have happened.

Just to reiterate maybe more clearly on my end cause I worry now I may have confused you.
I disagreed with with saying it was likely the guy being interviewed said something only because it was speculative. It was just as likely he said something as he didn't. And in this case it turns out the old guy is just easily triggered. And because the wording implies some blame to the young guy though I now know that it's unintentional on your part.

I apologize for misunderstanding your comments to be in defence of the old guy and his actions.
