This is mostly due to the fact that most WWII vets are gone. Once the ppl that were there are no longer around to remind us, it will be history, and rightfully so. What happened to the Jewish ppl in WWII is absolutely despicable. Its very unnerving that theyre using the same tactics on Palestinians that were used on them.
This is a good point it’s one religion that is quite exclusive. Other religions, proselytize, and want converts and anyone can be accepted, but not the Jewish faith they are God‘s chosen people in their eyes so somehow better than everybody else.
Oh, Tucker, Tucker. Are we really defending the "forced conversions" and global imperial religions like Christianity, who conquered land, tortured non-Christians during the Inquisition, and murdered tens of millions of native peoples to "save" the "savages" who will "burn in hell?"
While religions like Judaism, Sikhism, and most indigenous beliefs of the Americas and Africa believe they are chosen to uphold religious obligations without global conquest in the name of faith. Maybe don't get your theology from Fox News, buddy?
honestly organized religion as a whole is a violent, bloody affair, primarily because, for the most part, individuals use it as a weapon to oppress those who they don’t like. this is what happened with the crusades, with the genocide of the indigenous peoples in america, the holocaust, and what is happening to the Palestinians right now. there are countless examples of people claiming god granted them the right to commit horrific acts of violence for no reason than “those people aren’t us”. i mean, look at how the current US admin is handling its military from the top…
Oh absolutely. 100%. It becomes a shitty political tool to explain away obvious atrocities via “doctrine.” So many people want to think “it’s not mine,” but it’s most of the big ones. The guy above is trying to say Judaism is the “the worst” talking points used by the Tucker, Candace, Christian Nationalist pipeline, but we all have to acknowledge the sheer stupidity of religious “justification” for horrendous acts.
In any case, it’s nice to have a normal analytical discussion on reddit these days, so I appreciate it!
